History: Gul Muhammad Adamjee Alhaj, CEO of Limited Mehern jute mills in Karachi, Pakistan established Adamjee Cantonment School in early 1960. Begum Gul Muhammad Adamjee laid the foundation stone in January 1958. The main building was in January 1960.

The president of Pakistan Field Marshal Mohammad Ayub Khan wanted an institution that resulted in the birth of Adamjee Cantonment School to determine. The institution was later renamed as Adamjee Cantonment College. It is now known as Adamjee Cantonment Public School. The school and the university were in the same building until 1985. Now, school and university are separate entities and are in the same school, but in different buildings.

The director is the head of the school governing body. Historically, the principal officers were Lieutenant Colonel level military Army Education Corp. However, many citizens have served as directors as well. One of the first customers were G.A. Dolman, J.E.M. Thornhill, Maj Mahbub Ali and SA Alavi.

The original building of the school is now Adamjee Cantonment College when standing. The school was removed in 1995 and became fully independent institution.
