History: Notre Dame College was founded in Aram Bagh, Dhaka in November 1949. It was founded by the Catholic priests of the Order of the Holy Cross by the crisis in the education sector newborn East Pakistan. He was known as the Colegio de San Gregorio, an extension of the School of San Gregorio, who also founded by the mission. It moved to its present location in Motijheel in 1954 and renamed Notre Dame College. The new name was a tribute to the University of Notre Dame, the alma mater of many of the faculty. French for Our Lady of the Blessed Virgin, the Virgin Mary.
